AMC FMC Carrier Kintex Ultrascale – AFCKU
AFCKU is a carrier board partially based on the SPEC design (power supply and White Rabbit clocking), developed to support 16-bit ADC FMC modules in BPM systems.
It features a flexible clock distribution architecture enabling connection to virtually any timing source — including telecom, FMC, and FPGA clock domains.
Mechanically and architecturally, AFCKU is similar to the AFC platform but is built around a higher-performance FPGA from the Xilinx Kintex UltraScale family — the XCKU035.
The board includes: 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM, LPC1768 MMC, 2× FMC HPC connectors, RTM connector with 8× MGT, Micro-USB interface
The clocking subsystem is fully compatible with White Rabbit and ARTIQ.
The integrated monitoring system provides voltage, current, and temperature supervision of critical components.
